The English man believes City are favorite to win the UEFA Champions League despite having suffered to defeats to Chelsea
Ahead of their
clash on Saturday, Raheem Sterling has warned Chelsea not to approach
the game too confident as the only thing that could stop Man City is their own
player.
Sterling hasn’t
been a constant starter for Pep Guardiola this season but is hopeful to get a
spot in the final tomorrow.
Man City have
already claimed two trophies to their name this season; the English Premier
League and the Carabao cup.
Defeating Chelsea tomorrow will have them end the season with a treble which Pep Guardiola hasn’t written off despite having suffered two defeats to Chelsea
The West Londoners are indeed known to be difficult contenders after seeing off Real Madrid to advance into the semi-finals but Raheem Sterling believes Man City will have the upper hand after the 90 minutes.
Speaking ahead of the game, the 26-year-old said;”Chelsea are a strong a team who have a lot of physically strong players.
“We have played them twice and lost twice but this is a Champions League final. On the day, things are a lot different.
“You go into it with a clean mindset, those games that happened against them in recent times go out the window. It is now about focusing on winning that trophy.
“The only things that can stop us are ourselves if I am honest. It is a game where I expect a difficult test but at the same time I expect us to pull through.”
