Chelsea have already started to make concrete plans ahead of this summer’s transfer window and it is reported that Roman Abramovich is set to splash cash again this summer.
Chelsea’s top
management are working on a revamped transfer strategy that they believe will
put them in a good position to challenge for next season’s Premier League title.
Chelsea are looking to
strengthen three key areas in their team, according to reports. A central
defender, a winger, and a center-forward are the areas which have been
identified by manager Thomas Tuchel.
PSG’s defender
Marquinhos has been identified as one of Thomas Tuchel’s top target in central
defense.
The 26-year-old PSG
captain could be reunited with his old boss and former teammate Thiago Silva at
Chelsea this summer if Chelsea make moves for him.
Marquinhos was named
captain of the French club this season following the departure of Thiago Silva
as a free agent last summer.
The two Brazilian
defenders made the central defense at PSG their own, forming a formidable
partnership for years.
Although a move for
the defender will not come easy, the defender will be open to a summer move to
Stamford Bridge if an agreement is reached.
