The German manager stated him leaving out Tammy Abraham was a hard decision he had to make on Saturday.
Chelsea was
without their highest goal scorer as Leicester stormed Wembley to first FA Cup
trophy.
The Blues
indeed didn’t give enough to materialize a goal although they had a goal ruled
offside.
Thomas Tuchel made
a surprising decision when he opted to leave out Tammy Abraham and
went for Timo Werner and Olivier Giroud.
Both men
weren’t fruitful enough to provide the desired goal as Chelsea failed to
convert chances against the Foxes.
Tammy
Abraham’s girlfriend, Leah Monroe has lately also disclosed her dissatisfaction
with Tuchel’s decision to leave out the club’s lead goal scorer in such a
crucial game.
In response to this Tuchel claimed leaving out
Tammy was a hard decision he had to make in picking his 18-men squad to battle
against Leicester.
“It’s
just a hard decision on a matchday when you can only nominate 18 players.
Nothing else,” the former PSG boss said.
Chelsea
are now left with the UCL as the only trophy they can claim this season as they
set to take on Manchester City on
the 29th of May.
