-Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund
in contact over four players
As per recent
reports from the Daily Express, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund have been in
close contact over the past few weeks as they plot a number of two-way
transfers.
The Blues are
keen on signing Jadon Sancho, who is on Manchester United’s prime target list.
They are also rumoured to be interested in Erling Haaland.
On the other hands, Tammy Abraham has only featured seven times under Tuchel, and it’s
no secret he could leave the club before the start of next season. The last few
games have not seen much of Callum Hudson-Odoi either.
Both the Chelsea academy players
could move to the Bundesliga if talks between the two clubs advance. Also Tammy Abraham and Jadon Sancho
could move either way.
OFFICIAL: Zinedine
Zidane has left Real Madrid
Real Madrid
have confirmed that Zinedine Zidane has resigned as the club’s manager. Doubts
over his future had been growing after Madrid were pipped to the LaLiga
title last weekend by rivals Atletico Madrid. Sportsmail reported earlier this
month that Zidane would walk away from the club regardless of whether they
secured the title after Zidane sensed for some time that he did not have the
backing of Florentino Perez. In a statement, they said: ‘Real Madrid CF
announces that Zinedine Zidane has decided to end his current stage as coach of
our club.
‘It is now time to respect his
decision and show him our appreciation for his professionalism, dedication and
passion in all these years, and for what his figure represents for Real Madrid.
‘Zidane is one of the great myths of Real Madrid and his legend goes beyond
what he has been as a coach and player of our club. ‘He knows that he is at the
heart of Real Madrid and that Real Madrid is and will always be his home.’
Jose Mourinho is ‘plotting
reunion with Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard’ at RomaJose Mourinho wants to sign
injury-plagued Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard as one of his first major
additions at Roma. The Portuguese manager, who was sacked by Tottenham before
the end of the season, is keen to work with the Belgian, who he coached at
Chelsea between 2013-15 in his second stint at Stamford Bridge. According to
Deportes Cuatro in Spain, Mourinho is plotting an audacious swoop for the
30-year-old. Hazard moved to Real Madrid for £130 million but has been a huge
disappointment in the Spanish capital.
He suffered
initially with weight issues and has seemed cursed with injury problems. Hazard
has made 30 LaLiga appearances out of a possible 76 so far and only managed to
turn out 21 times this term. Over two years, he’s scored just five times and
Real are understood to be running out of patience with him. Some reports
suggest that the club would be willing to allow him to leave for free, to allow
the absence of his wage to free up some space financially.
OFFICIAL: Antonio Conte QUITS as boss just weeks after
guiding them to the Serie A title. Antonio Conte has quit as Inter Milan boss
just weeks after masterminding their first Serie A title win in nine years –
with the Italian said to have grown frustrated with the club’s lack of
financial resources. Conte has enjoyed a superb two seasons with the
Nerazzurri, culminating in their winning of the Scudetto this campaign, thereby
ending Juventus’ nine-year dominance of Italian football. He was reportedly
hoping to spend big this summer in a bid to ensure the club retain their grip
on the Scudetto, but the Nerazzurri are feeling the effects of the Covid
pandemic and are being forced to cash in on a number of players.
Inter need to
bring their wage budget down by 20 per cent, La Gazzetta dello Sport, with the
club needing to sell a host of players – generating around £86.5m – in order to
stay afloat, something that infuriated Conte after meeting chief Steven Zhang.
A club confirmed Conte’s departure, thanking him for the ‘extraordinary job’ he
had done during his time with the Serie A champions. ‘FC Internazionale Milano
announces that it has reached an agreement for the consensual termination of
the contract with the coach Antonio Conte. ‘The whole Club would like to thank
Antonio for the extraordinary work he has done, which culminated in winning the
nineteenth Scudetto. Antonio Conte will remain forever in the history of our
Club.
-Bayern Munich
defender deal to real madrid almost done
Real Madrid
are planning to confirm the signing of David Alaba before the end of the week,
as the Austrian defender looked at properties in the Spanish capital earlier.
An announcement by Real Madrid confirming the signing of David Alaba looks
increasingly imminent. As revealed by Gol TV, the Bayern Munich defender was in
Madrid to look at houses with an advisor to his agent. However, according to
sources close to Alaba who spoke to Diario AS, the Austrian “was not at the
club.”
Providing all
goes as planned, Madrid’s intend to announce the signing of Alaba before the
end of the week. But whatever happens, no official presentation is expected
until after Euro 2020. The idea of making the announcement before the Euros is
to remove any pressure on the player regarding his future during the tournament.
