Tuchel Hands Chelsea On-Loan Star Career Lifeline After Comparing Him To Micheal Ballack

Thomas Tuchel is known for his ability to give opportunities to young and struggling stars as he has recently hinted on the return of possible return of another Chelsea loan star

Chelsea on-loan star, Loftus-Cheek could be recalled soon to the Blues squad after Thomas Tuchel spoke of the English man.

Cheek left for Fulham on a loan move amid returning from injury that disturbed him for a long while.

The midfielder lost pace under Frank Lampard and had to leave on loan in order to seek recoup for all he has lost during his injury days.

Good news for the youngster who already had been on Tuchel’s watch list for a long time.

According to the German tactician during a press conference today, he revealed he hasn’t spoken about Loftus-Cheek to the board but has actually had his eye on the midfielder for a long time now.

He went on to express he sees Cheek as of same qualities as Chelsea legend, Michael Ballack.

“It is not decided yet,” Tuchel said. “I was quite a fan of him when he was even younger, when he came from the academy into professional football here at Chelsea.

“It reminded us a bit of his style of play and movements with Michael Ballack.

“There were links about him all the time with a move to the German league so we were well aware of him and his talent.

“Sometimes I don’t know why things haven’t worked out as he wished and everyone wished, but he is on loan now and doing well.”

Another name out on loan and likely to make a return is Ross Barkley as Tuchel spoke of seeing multiple name return to Stamford Bridge as he wouldn’t want to access them via T.Vs.

“He is leaving his footprints there and it would be unfair to judge him from TV, hearsay and what’s people say about him,” Tuchel continued.

“I like to work with players and give my opinion then. Maybe also pretty quick, but also from a direct impression. This is what I don’t have. I don’t know what the idea is, my opinion is or the club’s opinion is. There’s no decision made yet.”
