The former midfielder believes Chelsea under Tuchel hands them a kind of better advantage against Manchester City
Chelsea will
face Manchester City for
the last time this season in a game that will determine who had the best
season.
City were recently
crowned Premier League champions after losing out the FA Cup race to Chelsea
who went on to disappointedly fall prey to a hungry Leicester City.
Having won
Manchester City twice this season, unlike others, Sneijder believes this indeed
hands Chelsea an advantage over Pep Guardiola’s men.
Both last two games between the two sides ended
with 1 goal victory margin in favor of Blues with the last coming as a slip off
for City as Aguero cheaply missed a penalty.
Speaking
ahead of the game, former Real Madrid and Inter Milan wonder midfielder stated
Chelsea are in line to repeat what they already did twice this season on the
29th of May.
“City
& Chelsea are the two best clubs,” the 36-year-old said.
“For me
Chelsea wins. They are a strong team with Tuchel, they’ve a great coach and already beaten
Manchester City and for me they are favorites.
“I have
seen Chelsea play many times and have pride and strength,” he added.
The
Stamford Bridge outfits are in line for their second shocking UCL crown after coming from 9th on the league
table to finish off 4th.
But it indeed won’t be an easy task for Chelsea’s first ever German manager under Abramovic as City are hungry to lift their first UCL trophy after losing their last final to Liverpool back in 2019.
