Danny Drinkwater’s Chelsea career is slowly but steady slipping down into oblivion. The ex-Leicester City midfielder was one of the best players in the Premier league 5 years ago but at the moment, is a complete shadow of his former self.
He is still on Chelsea’s books and has been sent on loan to different clubs in
the past few seasons. His first loan spell was in the Premier league, Burnley
to be precise. He started off with making a few appearances off the bench for
the Clarets but few months down the line, his loan spell turned into a
nightmare.
He was out of the Burnley first team picture and hardly made an appearance for Sean Dyche’s men. In that same season, his name made headlines in the media for all the wrong reasons. And this season, Chelsea sent him on loan to Turkey.
There, Drinkwater made a handful of appearances for his
Turkish team but he did not perform good enough to warrant Chelsea to consider
keeping him. Just when it seemed like Chelsea fans were beginning to notice the
good progress around him, he’s now entered their bad books yet again.
This time around, it is not his antics on the pitch but off of it. Danny Drinkwater is currently on holiday as the season has ended and it was his birthday yesterday.
The 30-year-old then posted an Unclad photo,
carrying a few bottles of wine near a pool. The picture spread through social
media and Chelsea fans were not impressed with it. Here is the post on
