Summer Transfer Live: Tuchel To Welcome Star Player To Chelsea, Arsenal To Sign Four Players And More

Arsenal have made offers for 4 players this week

The Gunners have reportedly made four transfer offers this week and are confident of completing at least two of them. Brighton defender Ben White and Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga are their ‘closest’ targets.

Granit Xhaka, meanwhile, is expected to leave for AS Roma. Sead Kolasinac may join his Arsenal teammate in Serie A with Lazio, while Dinos Mavropanos is close to completing a £7 million deal with Stuttgart. [Football London]

Hakimi ‘verbally’ agrees to join Chelsea

The European champions have moved into pole position in the Achraf Hakimi transfer saga.

It’s alleged that the Moroccan defender has ‘verbally agreed’ to join Chelsea. Inter Milan have already rejected offers from the Blues and Paris Saint-Germain for Hakimi. The Serie A champions, however, have asked the former for €50 million and Marcos Alonso. [Ekren Konor]

Is Costa on his way back to the Premier League?

Former Chelsea striker Diego Costa is still a free agent after leaving Atletico Madrid in January.

The 32-year-old, though, has no shortage of interest. Wolves are interested in bringing Costa back to the Premier League. Benfica, Al-Nassr, and Besiktas have also recently shown interest in him. [UOL – in Portuguese]

Real Madrid name their price for Varane

Los Blancos have reportedly rejected a £50 million (€58m) transfer offer from Manchester United for Raphael Varane.

The Red Devils will make another offer, but Real Madrid plan to hold out for around £80 million (€94m) for their defender. [Manchester Evening News]

Tapsoba and Onana on Arsenal’s radar

Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba and Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana are both on Arsenal’s transfer radar.

The Gunners view Tapsoba as a ‘perfect’ addition to their squad. Leverkusen, though, want to keep the 22-year-old and may need offers of around €60 million to €70 million to be convinced otherwise.
