The late former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John, will be laid to rest on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
The body of Sir John will be laid in state at Sakora Wonoo Junior High
School, in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti region, from the morning of
Wednesday, June 2 to Thursday, June 3. This will be followed by a burial service.
Apparently, a special Tomb made to accommodate the
former stateman has received mixed reactions online.
Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie was a Ghanaian lawyer and politician. He held
several political positions including serving as general secretary of the New
Patriotic Party. He was serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Forestry
Commission of Ghana before his demise.
