English Premier League Club and Champions League winner, Chelsea have Finally sold Young Striker, Ike Ugbo to Belgian League side, Genk.
Ike Ugbo, a
player who has risen through the Ranks of Chelsea’s Academy since 2007 would no
longer take part in the Club as he has completed a move to Genk on a fee
reported to be £5m.
The player has
been Involved in Series of Loan away from Stamford Bridge, playing for several
teams Which Includes Barnsley, Milton Keynes Dons, Scunthorpe United, Roda JC
and most recently, Cercle Brugge in the Belgian League during the 2020/21
Season where he scored 17 goals in 34 appearances across all Competitions.
Ike Ugbo was
part of Chelsea’s Pre-season squad ahead of the 2021/2022 season but isn’t in
Thomas Tuchel’s plan. The Player Joins Tammy Abraham and Victor Moses as
players of Nigerian Descent who have been sold out of the club recently.
The 22 years
old Striker would now Join Fellow Nigerians, Paul Onuachu and Cyriel Dessers as
Genk’s Striking Force for the season.
