divulged that Saúl can pair up with any of the midfielders (N’golo Kante,

Speaking in an interview with
Chelsea football club TV, Thomas Tuchel revealed that he was uncomfortable
starting the season with just Kovacic, Kante and Jorginho at the midfield

“I was a bit concerned to go
into the season with just only Jorginho, Kovacic and Kante at my disposal
because I have lots of matches to play. Nobody knows who might be fit to play
or not, or when one will be injured or suspended. So, we were looking for an
alternative and it happens that Saúl has been on Chelsea’s radar for years,
before he was finally snapped up and everyone was excited,” said Tuchel.
