Brentford will host Chelsea at their stadium immediately after the internationall break , they have been in a mixed form since the start of the Premier League season winning just one match on their home soil.
The Bees have
faced Arsenal and Liverpool in the Premier League this season and came out with
a win and a draw against the two sides. They have proven to be a good attacking
side and also one of the most improved sides that was promoted from the league
two seasons.
Despite
Brentford’s form this season, Chelsea is the better team having conceded only
two goals in the Premier League and also at the top of the premier league with
just two points above Manchester City and Liverpool. The blues are still at a
disadvantage as they prepare to face Brentford and might end up getting a draw
against them.
One of the major setbacks
Chelsea would be facing is the absence of Thiago Silva, which was announced by
the head coach before the international break. The center back have a match on
Friday with the Brazilian National team and would not make it back to England
before their Premier League match on Saturday. His absence would have a great
effect on Chelsea Defence though Christensen has proven to be trusted and could
be relied upon when needed.
Brentford will have to take
advantage of the International break noting that most Chelsea first-team
players would be fully involved in the World Cup Qualifiers and might not be
fully fit for their next match. Chelsea’s manager will have to put a lot into
consideration while making his selection in other to bring out the best squad
to face Brentford.
It is going to be a tough match
for both aides as they battle out for a win. One of the possible predictions
for this game is a draw or a hard-fought win for the blues.
