BREAKING NEWS : Chelsea retain an interest in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland amid his remarkable form for the Bundesliga side
Chelsea would reportedly have to make Haaland the
highest-paid player in the club’s history, should they pursue a deal for the
striker next summer.
He was strongly linked with a move to
Stamford Bridge during the summer, but a deal for the striker failed to
materialise and the Blues eventually signed Romelu Lukaku instead.
Despite the signing of the Belgium international for a club
record £97.5 million, the rumours linking Haaland with a move to west London
continue to persist.
It has been reported that Chelsea could acquire Erling
Haaland for £64m due to the release clause for the striker.
The report also states that the La Liga
giants, Real Madrid who were interested in the Norweigan international have
‘accepted’ that the player will most likely move to the Premier League in his
next move
Chelsea will have to contend with Manchester United for the 21-year-old who has been setting the pitch alight at Borussia Dortmund… not literally. But, he has scored 13 goals in ten games this season, making him a sought after target.

Our take: If Chelsea can get the forward
for the amount that’s stated in the report he would be a bargain in many ways.
But, with already congested competition in the striker department do Chelsea
really need him?
Thomas Tuchel has been reported to have ordered the board to look
at signing another striker… You just never know in football I guess.
