Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku has returned to the club’s training center in Surrey after recovering from Ankle Injury that he suffered in the Champions League contest against Malmo alongside Timo Werner. However, Lukaku might not play against Leicester City this Saturday for some reason.
Tuchel has said that he hopes both strikers will be available
for their next game after the International game. And Lukaku has started his
training already.
The Belgian will be aiming to return to
full fitness and to start helping Chelsea to keep their season going on the
right track. A reminder that he has so far scored four goals and provided one
assist in eleven games this season, which many analysts believe that he should
have done better as a result of his great performance with Inter Milan last
season.
Although, there are still many games that he’s going to play
this season which gives the room that he could still light up Chelsea season as
they are aiming to win all trophies at their disposals.
So, Lukaku tweeted yesterday that he’s back in Chelsea
training with the caption “step by step” which simply means he’s not fully back
yet as he is in the rehabilitation phase.
Lukaku trained individually yesterday which means he’s not
yet fully fit, as he didn’t train with the group. So as time goes on, the
28-year-old will later be introduced into the full team training.
Thomas Tuchel would not want to rush
him as it might complicate his injury. So Lukaku might miss Chelsea’s trip to
King Power Stadium this weekend as the game will be coming too soon for him.
Nevertheless, he will be trying much as possible to return
for their next game in the Champions League against Juventus
