‘Heartbreak’ As Chelsea Star Boy Close To Joining Another Club

According to the ongoing reports, Chelsea’s dependable defender is at the verge of moving to another club as the January transfer window is drawing closer.

The Blues will most definitely be keen on winning some more trophies this season under the management of Thomas Tuchel after an eventful summer transfer window.

The Stamford Bridge side made some signings to their squad during the summer as they look to rival the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title this season.

However, that is quite working out well for Chelsea so far as they are currently occupying the 3rd position on the Premier League table ahead of their next league match against Everton.

But now, Chelsea could be rocked with reports that experienced central defender Antonio Rudiger is in line to leave the club when the transfer window opens.

The 28-year-old Germany International, who joined Chelsea from Serie A side AS Roma in 2018 has been an important member of the first-team squad over the previous seasons.

The experienced centre-back enjoyed an interesting 2020/2021 season where he scored one goal and created one assist in 34 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea.

Antonio Rudiger has also enjoyed a brilliant start to the 2021/2022 season, scoring two goals and creating four assists in the 21 matches he has played for Chelsea so far.

But then, Antonio Rudiger has less than a year left on his current contract with Chelsea, and having not signed a new contract, he could be eyeing a transfer move away from the club.

And according to reports from The Sun, Antonio Rudiger wants to leave Chelsea and he is eyeing a move to join La Liga giants Real Madrid when his contract expires.

The reports further claimed that Antonio Rudiger is edging closer to joining the Los Blancos despite the efforts of the Chelsea board to keep him at Chelsea beyond the end of this season.

If signed, Antonio Rudiger will now join up with a squad that already possess the likes of Nacho Fernandez, Eder Militao and David Alaba in that Real Madrid defence line.
