As Chelsea failed to sign target players at the concluded winter transfer window, Thomas Tuchel needs his key players to continue to do great job at Stamford Bridge. The latest updates should make all CHELSEA fans to be happy.
The Blues might actually have a chance at retaining
Rudiger who has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent
months. Reliable sources have indicated that Chelsea have held constructive
talks with the German defender and a common sense of understanding has been
reported between Marina Granovskaia and Antonio Rudiger over the extension of
his contract. The talks are taking baby steps because the negotiations are
delicate, but massive progress is expected to be made in the next few weeks,
preferably before the season ends.
Antonio Rudiger’s contract is expected to
expire at the end of the season and according to his agent, he wants his salary
to be increased to around €400k per week which will make him the most paid
defender in the World. Chelsea were very reluctant at first about agreeing to
the new deal but since finding his replacement will be equally as difficult,
they have decided to negotiate for a cut-price salary.
Trevoh
Chalobah
Trevoh Chalobah is going to be a massive figure for Chelsea next
season since Thomas Tuchel has expressed satisfaction on how the 20-year-old
plays as a starting eleven player. Some have even said that Tuchel might decide
against signing a new defender when Azpilicueta and Christensen leave because
Chalobah and Sarr have proven to him that they are worth the risk to keep.
Against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup finals, Chalobah was very solid and that
earned him positive and reassuring remarks from Thomas Tuchel.
Thomas Tuchel said, “Trevoh Chalobah did not play for six to
eight weeks, and he just played 120 minutes against Diaz, Mane, and Salah. And
he was brilliant too. The assistance of Rudiger and Thiago Silva has helped him
a lot and the other players have also been supportive towards him.”
Ruben Loftus Cheek
At this point, there is no point in
denying that Loftus Cheek will leave Chelsea in the summer in favor of a move
to AS Roma. The 24-year-old has not played for the past 10 weeks and that shows
that Tuchel has very little faith in him, unlike Mourinho who wants to nurture
something big from him.
