Antonio Rudiger will leave Chelsea as a free agent this summer. The German defender announced his decision to leave the club at end of the season while revealing his reasons.
Rudiger wants to try new stuff elsewhere and doesn’t want to
wait on uncertainty surrending Chelsea new ownership takeover.
The defender played his last game in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over
Watford and got a resounding standing ovation from the fans. Rudiger is
rumoured to have agreed a deal with Real Madrid and will join the Los Blancos on
free transfer.
Chelsea
under Todd Boehly are looking to reinforce and strengthen the team and finding
Antonio Rudiger’s Replacement is the clubs top priority.
Chelsea scouts has
identified RB Leipzig centre back, Josko Gvardiol as the perfect replacement.
Although Chelsea are
also in for Sevilla’s Jules Kounde but the blues plans to sign both players.
PSG’s Presnel Kimpembe, Napoli’s Koulibaly and Atletico Madrid’s Jose Gimenez
are a few of the other stars in Chelsea radar. linked to Chelsea but, if 24Sata
are to be believed, it appears that the Leipzig defender has moved to the top
of the list.
According to Fabrizio
Romano, Josko Gvardiol is keen on joining Chelsea but Leipzig wants £42 million
for the central defender.
Reports also claims
that the player’s father, Timohir, has already had talks with manager Thomas
Tuchel ahead of a potential switch to Stamford Bridge.
With the likes of
Rudiger, Alonso, Christensen and possibly Cesar Azipilicueta expected to leave
in the summer transfer window, Gvardiol, Kounde and others targets could be
possible replacements.
