Pay Negotiations; FWSC invites Labour for a further meeting- Peace
This
meeting is expected to conclude negotiations which started in 2022.
There are
so many unclear paths as this meeting has yet to yield any results since.
Earlier,
COLA was to End in December COLA Payment to all Public Sector Workers will
end in December What next
In all
Previous meetings Government’s offer came with COLA, 18% Plus COLA
National
Daily minimum wage is also providing 15% COLA over the minimum wage
Which is
to take effect on 1st January 2023.

Cost of Living Allowance (COLA)
In
determining the 2023 NDMW, the NTC took into account the current economic
challenges, cost of living, sustainability of businesses, and desirability of
attaining a higher level of employment, as well as the need for rapid restoration
of macroeconomic stability.
The
Committee concluded that A Cost-of-Living Allowance (COLA) of 15% over the 2023
National Daily Minimum Wage and the effective date for the implementation of
the 2023 NDMW shall be 1st January 2023.
To our
understanding COLA ends when there has been a conclusion on the following years'
Base Pay, either to be increased or not.
This meeting’s conclusion should be the
determinant of payment of COLA or not. Increment or no increment.
