Of course, the club owners are expected to be busy again in the summer with mainly outgoings and trimming down the squad size, but they will also be looking to bring in a few more new faces to Stamford Bridge in order to complete the squad rebuild.
They are largely being linked with strikers and midfielders, but a report from Football Insider today suggests that they are about to move on trying to sign Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto.
The report claims that Gnonto will quit Elland Road should Leeds be relegated at the end of the season.
Chelsea apparently want to get deals done early in the window to allow the new manager – expected to be Mauricio Pochettino – a full pre-season to work with the new arrivals.
