Chelsea are ready to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi in the summer, according to a report on Football London via Daily Mail.
The Argentine World Cup winner
will leave PSG when his contract expires this summer and Chelsea co-owner Todd
Boehly wants to bring him to London.
Messi has never tested himself in the Premier League – he only played in Spain prior to his move to France.
Back in 2014, Messi contemplated joining Chelsea following a FaceTime call with Jose Mourinho but the move collapsed after his agent and father Jorge Messi found out about the proposed transfer.
Messi has been suspended for
two weeks without pay by PSG after missing Monday’s training session without
permission due to a commercial commitment in Saudi Arabia.
