Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, professionally known as MohBad, has tragically passed away at the young age of 27.
The former Marlian Records signee reportedly lost his life on Tuesday,
leaving the music industry in shock and sorrow.
The devastating news was confirmed by YBNL Music Executive and fellow
artist, Olamide, who expressed his grief with a simple yet powerful message:
“Damn! Mohbad” accompanied by a broken heart emoji.
MohBad’s musical journey was nothing short of remarkable. He rose to
prominence as a member of Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records,” a label known for
shaping the contemporary Nigerian music landscape. MohBad’s distinctive blend
of rap and Afrobeat quickly won over fans, making him a standout talent in the
industry.
His hit singles, including “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and the chart-topping
“KPK (Ko Por Ke)” with Rexxie, earned him widespread acclaim and recognition.
Notably, “KPK” was nominated three times for The Headies Awards in 2022, a
testament to MohBad’s undeniable impact on the music scene.
MohBad’s untimely passing is a tragic loss for the Nigerian music
