Miss Agbonyitor Florence, a teacher of Gushegu Girls’ Model Junior High School was unfortunately involved in a fire accident on 25th October, 2023.
She was trying to set fire to a coal pot using
sanitizer with charcoal, and her dress caught fire resulting in burns that
left her with severe body burns that required urgent medical attention. She was
on admission at the Tamale Teaching Hospital and later referred to Ridge
Hospital In Accra.
The Gushegu/Karaga GNAT Secretariat is putting
in place measures to support her and also facilitating assistance for her from
the GNAT Headquarters. She needs our assistance and prays. She is currently on
a drug that costs GHC 1,600.00 daily to restore her affected body parts and
there are other associated costs of treatment.
