At today’s
nationwide parliamentary primaries held by the opposition National Democratic
Congress, John Dumelo won the primaries.
John Dumelo won the
Ayawaso West Wuogon with 758 votes.
According to
provisional results, the actor-cum-businessman won the ticket with 758 votes
while his competitor Suzy Efua Adoboe polled 99 votes.
With the
ticket secured, John Dumelo will hit the ground running while he prepares for
the candidate the New Patriotic Party will send to contest him.
Meanwhile,
at Ningo Prampram, Sam George has retained the ticket with 407 votes as
against his contender’s 400 votes.
However,
at the Adenta constituency, former Minister of Gender Children and Social
Protection, Nana Oye Lithur lost her bid to lead the NDC in that constituency.
