Veteran music producer Appietus has denied accusations he produced the
hit track ‘Muje Baya’ by 5Five with a stolen beat.
He was accused of stealing the beat
from a South African song – ‘Amerido’ by DJ Cndo.
After 10 years, Appietus has finally
responded to accusations.
According to him, it was music group
5Five who brought the beat to him and that was the first time he was sampling
someone’s beat for a song.

“I had never sampled for them to hear
so they were like why would Appietus [do that] but it’s a normal thing. It’s
not big news, not like the first engineer to sample,” Appietus said.
“Theythought that I went to steal…you can’t steal a song,” the producer stressed.
