Asante Kotoko contract rebel
Sogne Yacouba has reacted to his omission from the list of players making the
trip to the UK ahead of the club’s historic friendly with Hearts of Oak.
The Porcupine Warriors face off against their
bitterest rivals on March 7 at the Barnett Stadium in London.
As part of preparations towards the encounter,
Kotoko Coach Maxwell Konadu called up 18 players to form part of a 31 man
contingent for the trip to the UK.
Conspicuously missing from the squadlist is Sogne
Yacouba who hasn’t featured for the Porcupine Warriors since his contract
renewal brouhaha escalated.
The Burkinabe has missed the club’s last 5 matches
with Head Coach Maxwell Konadu vowing not to select the player again until his
contract situation is resolved.
He reacted to his snub by posting an inscrutable
message on Twitter citing someone who’s hurt.
He posted ‘there will come a time in your life when
some people will regret why they hurt you. Believe me this moment will come!
Suffering is advice 🙏🙏’
