The self acclaimed King of Azonto, Gasmilla sets fire on Ghanaian media space after he called out Sarkodie and labelled him as the biggest opportunist in Ghana music industry.
Speaking in his recent interview which he spoke about the
#BringBackAzonto which is championed by Sarkodie, Gasmilla expressed disgust in
Sarkodie for disrespecting him by asking him, Gasmilla to send a record when he
is the King of Azonto. Gasmilla believes that Sarkodie should have sent him a
record rather and not the other way round.
According to him, he raps better than the 2 Time BET award
winner and all Ghanaian rappers and then again knows the technicalities in
music production and it business more than any of the mainstream rappers.
Commenting further, he stood on his grounds that he single
handedly continued to push the Azonto genre when Sarkodie and his gang left it
to pursue hip hop.
“The agenda is taking Azonto to the
world, making Azonto a genre to the world and this I have been doing since
2011…”
He asserted that
Sarkodie is an opportunist who wants to ride on this #BringBackAzonto agenda to
stay relevant just as he has been riding on young artiste to survive in the
music scene.
