“I Was A Top Footballer At High School” – Kofi Kinaata Tells



Popular Ghanaian musician and songwriter Martin King Arthur, widely known as Kofi Kinaata has revealed that he was once a footballer and nearly played for the school team.

Kinaata attended Takoradi Technical Institute between 2007-2010 and was one of the popular students back then due to his craft as a rapper.

He made this revelation while speaking in an interview with Takoradi-based Skyy Power FM.
The “Things Fall Apart” hitmaker added that he had to stop playing football to do full-time music due to some challenges he didn’t he failed to disclose.
He says ;
“I played football at Secondary School form one and was part of the [T.T.I] school team,’’
“All the school team players were my playmates, they knew I was a good player, and one of the top-five player in the school team.”

“I couldn’t take football to a high level because of one or two challenges. I was a defender and played Colts football with Depotivo FC U-14 [at Efiekuma]”


Kofi Kinaata is regarded as one of the best songwriters in Ghana after releasing some hit songs namely Confession, Susuka, Things Fall Apart, Adam and Eve and many others.
