Mrs. Jean Mensa, the chairperson
of Ghana’s electoral commission, has rejected allegations that the Commission
is ‘in bed’ with the government.
According to Mrs. Mensah, the
Commission has been always been transparent with its dealings with all
stakeholders especially with the processes leading to December 2020,
elections.
She assured the general public
as well as the various political parties that the measures put in place cannot
rig the elections.
The EC boss has come under
attack from the main opposition and some civil society groups that describing
her output at the electoral management body as “incompetent.”
She said;
“it is practically impossible to interfere with the process for the purpose of securing the desired outcome.”
