Evelyn Gadagoe, a final-year student at Kadjebi-Asato Senior High School, and three others drowned in the Volta Lake at Kpandu.
According to JoyNews reports, she was in a canoe with ten other people when they were struck by a storm on the lake on Tuesday.
Six of the people on the canoe escaped, but the student and three others did not.
According to reports, Evelyn Gadagoe was on her way to her okro farm on the other side of the river to harvest and sell some to raise funds.
The final-year student was reportedly collecting funds to complete her studies at Kadjebi-Asato SHS. Sadly, she drowned on her way home from the farm.
Her body has since been recovered and deposited at the Kpandu morgue.
