The Polish striker may have just tipped Chelsea for a transfer move following comments on his future
Bayern Munich star
striker, Robert Lewandowski has
been linked to a move to Stamford Bridge following Hansi Flick’s departure.
Although even
before the manager’s departure, Chelsea were
revealed to have asked of the striker in their quest to land a number 9.
Flick leaving
only made the deal more alive coupled with Chelsea now crowned reigning UEFA Champions League winners.
Lewandowski prior to his move to Bayern Munich was a main target for Chelsea in 2014 while he was still at Dortmund but the Blues were unable to seal a move for the striker.
It’s vivid that Chelsea are now back on his radar and now willing to break the bank if necessary and in response the 34-year-old has delivered a sort of coded message alerting Chelsea of his interest to switch sides.
In an interview when asked about his future, Lewandowski at first acknowledged the fact that he still feels comfortable at Bayern Munich.
But in continuation, he added that he was ready to try out ‘new languages’ and ‘new cultures’. This could be a clear green light for Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea.
“My future?” Lewandowski asked in response when asked about his future.
“I remain open-minded. Today, I feel very good at Bayern, the city is superb, it’s a great club,” the former Dortmund striker said.
