Thomas Tuchel is still waiting for his first signing since joining Chelsea this summer window, as the Blues didn’t get to sign any player during winter.
Chelsea are reportedly planning a summer move to secure the
services of 26 years old Juventus midfielder Andrien Rabiot, who is known to be
a target by Barcelona, according to reports.
The West London club are planning to bolster their midfield,
having seen their midfield stars Jorginho and N’golo Kante been linked
with a move to the Italian League, with Juventus and Inter Milan been known to
be a club of interest.
Antonio Conte of Inter Milan have shown keen interest in
bringing Kante to the San Siro, while Jorginho has also continued to be admired
by Juventus.
However,
Chelsea in a bid to bolster their midfield have identified 26 years old
Juventus midfielder Andrien Rabiot, who is valued in the region of €32m by
Transfermarkt as a potential transfer target, and according to reports, Chelsea
board are looking to complete the signing of the €32m-rated in-form Barcelona
midfield target.
Barcelona have
shown keen interest in signing the French midfielder, as they plan to provide a
partner for Frenkie De Jong in the midfield, having seen their summer signing
Miralem Pjanic failing to impress.
Andrien
Rabiot has been in a great form for Juventus since he joined and has been a
regular first team starter for the Serie A giants, scoring 3 goals in 41
appearances across all competitions for Juventus this season.
