Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has provided an injury update for his team ahead of the weekend game against Fulham.
It
is not a good news for the German manager and fans of the club as his best
midfielder and defender will miss the game on Saturday.
§ Antonio Rudiger will not be
available against Fulham after picking up a knock against Real Madrid.
§ Mateo Kovacic is still injured and will also be unavailable for the Blues.
Asked about an injury
update ahead of the Fulham clash, Tuchel told reporters at his
press conference: “No, unfortunately not. He (Kovacic) trained but he is still
not fully comfortable.
“Antonio
Rudiger is also out, he picked up an injury in the last minute
against Madrid.”
While
Mateo Kovacic was expected to be missing for the game, Rudiger’s knock could have
a serious impact on the game.
Thiago
Silva could possibly be asked to play his 3rd game in this week, which could
take a toll on his fitness.
With
the two star players who are Tuchel’s favourites as midfielder and defender,
the Blues are expected to still secure three points against Fulham.
There
are no other fresh injury concerns according to Thomas Tuchel.
The
three points are so important for Chelsea to cement their place at the top
four.
