All eyes
are Thomas Tuchel especially after he promised to ‘make’ a squad that opponents
will fear facing. We really want to see what he is capable of doing in the
transfer market. For another time, the Blues will have reasons to respect Frank
Lampard for bringing quality players to Stamford Bridge. A failure in the
transfer window will surely mean disappointments to most Chelsea fans.
I think
Achraf Hakimi will be the 1st transfer we will complete this window out of our
list of targets. 50-60 million Euros plus a player/players is all that is
needed by Inter Milan too.
Chelsea’s transfer updates:
1. Besiktas have seen a loan bid for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham knocked back. Chelsea reportedly want £40m for the striker which would price them out. (Mirror)
2. Chelsea are
in pole position to sign Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish. The Blues will
need to pay £100m to complete a deal for the 25-year-old, who is also on the
radar of both Manchester clubs. (Mirror)
3. Mikel Arteta
is a huge fan of James Maddison and the player is a target for Arsenal. Chelsea
are also interested if they lose Hakim Ziyech to AC Milan.
4. One more
suitor appears for Saul Niguez. The Atletico Madrid midfielder will be one of
the prized pieces in the summer transfer window. According to Mundo Deportivo,
Chelsea also lined up for the player.
5. Chelsea are
hoping their pursuit of Erling Haaland will help build upon their current
relationship with Borussia Dortmund with hope of landing Jude Bellingham in the
future. Chelsea already have a great working relationship with Dortmund having
completed the Pulisic deal and Michy loan.
6. Chelsea are
in pole position for Villarreal left-back Alfonso Pedraza and have been
following him with close interest for some time. The player has a €35m release
clause but is also attracting interest from Napoli.
7. Reports
that Milan have finalised the transfer of Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea,
triggering the option to buy for €28.5 million.
8. AC Milan
will reportedly meet Chelsea directors tomorrow with the Rossoneri confident of
reaching an agreement with the Blues for the transfer of Olivier Giroud.
