The transfer window has now been open for just over a week and Chelsea
head coach Thomas Tuchel will be looking to add fresh blood to his ranks in a
bid to turn his side into a genuine Premier League title contender next season.
It is believed that the German wants to add three new faces to his squad
this summer as a priority, with a right-sided defender, a central-midfielder
and a striker on his radar.
But if the Blues are to land their desired targets this summer,
including Achraf Hakimi of Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund star Erling
Haaland, they will have to cut their cloth, offloading those who no longer
figure in Tuchel’s plans to add funds to his budget.
As well as transfer activity taking centre stage, Euro 2020 is now
almost a week old and Tuchel will be continuing to keep a close eye on
proceedings to see how current members of his squad are getting on, as well as
keeping his eyes open for any potential transfer targets.
With that in mind, stay with us throughout the day for all the very
latest Blues transfer news and other snippets from Stamford Bridge as it
happens.Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has done nothing to dampen
rumours of a move to Chelsea by hinting at a move away from his “comfort zone”
of the Westfalenstadion.
The Norwegian hitman has long been linked with a move to Chelsea in
recent weeks.
In fact, some reports have suggested that he has agreed personal terms
with the Blues, with now only a fee being the only aspect stopping him from
joining Thomas Tuchel’s men.
Whether that is the case remains to be seen but Haaland has admitted
that his personal ambition could convince him to seek pastures new at some
point in the future.
