Chelsea FC failed to make it four wins in four preseason games as they drew London rival, Tottenham Hotspur by 2-2 at Stamford Bridge tonight. However, football fans have lauded the performance of Hakim Ziyech after having a remarkable performance today.
Before the
kick-off, Chelsea players had a trophy parade in front of their fans for the
first time since their Champions League victory in Porto last May.
As the game
unfolds, Chelsea got their lead in 16 minutes when Hakim Ziyech struck a low
shot to the bottom corner. Heung-Min Son came close for Tottenham before the
end of the first half.
In the second
half, Ziyech scored his second goal in 49th minutes to make it 2-0 through
Marcos Alonso’s assist. Seven minutes later, Lucas Moura squeezed one in for
Spurs to alter the score to 2-1. Steven Bergwijn got the equalizer 2-2 in the
70th minute for Spurs when he slotted a shot into the legs of Edouard Mendy.
However, fans are happy with
the performance from Hakim Ziyech today as the Moroccan Wizard now has 5 goals
in preseason so far, which is a way to get ready for the new season.
