Olivier Giroud Calls On Chelsea Man To Make AC Milan Trip

The former Chelsea striker has called for a reunion with Chelsea star who is top of the want list for AC Milan

Olivier Giroud disclosed he had shared great bond with the left footer despite having played less games together.

The Frenchman left for AC Milan after discovering the club has plans of signing another striker.

Giroud spoke in an interview recently and also did praise Hakim Ziyech as a top talent when asked about Milan’s interest in the Moroccan.

Hakim Ziyech joined Chelsea after the Blues concluded a £33.3m deal to secure him from Ajax.

But with Thomas Tuchel replacing Frank Lampard halfway, Ziyech has had slow time assimilating properly to the team pattern.

Although currently, he is in a better shape with hopes of a game time in the new season, but Giroud believes a reunion is possible.

Speaking to the press, Giroud said; ‘Ziyech is a great player.

‘We have had a great connection even though we have played few games together.

‘He has a top left foot, has experience and he is very good technically. It would be nice to play with him again.’

Giroud left Chelsea after weeks the club announced his contract renewal and the striker shared he would have stayed if not for the club’s plan to land a new striker.

‘I have always said that when I was little I had the dream of playing in the Premier League but I think it was time to discover a new culture and a new country,’ said Giroud.

‘Milan was the best option for me and I am grateful to be able to wear the Rossoneri colours. I’m happy to be here.

‘My time at Chelsea was over also because the manager wanted to play with other players, spending a lot of money in the transfer market.

‘There I realised I had to leave the club and I received a great welcome from Maldini. I’m a Christian and I think God wanted me to move to Milan this season and not Inter the last one and I’m happy with that.’
