The former Arsenal manager has shared the match will prove his side is strong enough to battle top flight teams
Villarreal are set to take
on Chelsea on the 11th of August for the super cup after triumphing over
Manchester United to win the Europa League final.
Unai Emery has shared his
side will try their best to cause Chelsea problems and didn’t overlook the fact
that Blues are European Champions.
Chelsea on
the other hand pushed past Manchester City for the third time to lift their
second UCL final.
With the
boys already back in trainings Chelsea hope for a victory, same goes for
Villarreal who will consider it a great achievement winning ‘the best team in
the world’ according to words of Unai Emery.
Speaking ahead of the tie, Emery said; “I want to win the Super Cup. I’ve been involved in 2 and lost both. It would be a great way to finish off last season.
“The Super Cup will show what we are capable of against a top team like Chelsea, the reigning European champions and, for me, the best team in the world.”
Villarreal held Manchester United to a penalty kick off which they managed to triumph.
