Saul Niguez joined Chelsea on a season long loan on the very last day of the summer transfer window in a dramatic fashion.
According to
reports, Chelsea would pay £30million if they want to sign Niguez permanently
after his loan spell expires in 2022.
Speaking after
making his move to Chelsea, Saul Niguez said: “I am very excited to start this
new challenge with Chelsea.
Blues fans, I am one of you now
and I can’t wait to wear the shirt, start training and see all of you”.
Saul Niguez will challenge
Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic, Chalobah, and Mason Mount for a place in Thomas
Tuchel’s lineup.
How would Saul Niguez fit in
Thomas Tuchel’s plan?
Saul Niguez is considered to be
one of the most talented midfielders in Europe.
During his time at Athletico
Madrid, he played as a Central Midfielder and Defensive Midfielder.
However, Thomas Tuchel might
just decide to play him as an attacker. Saul Niguez could be deployed alongside
Mason Mount and Romelu Lukaku.
