Chelsea board agreed with Marina Granovskaia to complete first January transfer of €55m high-rated player – the Blues could rival Barcelona in a transfer battle for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman in January.
Coman is out of contract in 2023 and is considering letting his
deal expire. If that’s the case, the Frenchman will become a free agent in
under two years time. Thus, Bayern have a tricky decision to make. They could
try to continue negotiating with the player or sell him before it’s too late.
Coman has already drawn from Xavi as
the Catalan prepares to take charge of Barcelona, while Chelsea have begun to
pay close attention to the situation. [BILD – in German]

Coutinho to join Newcastle?
Philippe Coutinho could allegedly be one of the first names to
head to Newcastle United in January.
The 29-year-old midfielder has struggled to make his mark at
Barcelona. Xavi, who is on the verge of becoming the club’s new manager,
apparently has no plans for him. Therefore, Coutinho could be on his way out of
Camp Nou.
Newcastle, who are in another
relegation tussle, could agree to a loan-to-buy deal for Coutinho once the
winter transfer window opens. [Daily Mail]
Conte’s first Tottenham signing could come
from the Championship
West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone could become Antonio
Conte’s first transfer as Tottenham manager.
Spurs have reportedly joined
Southampton and West Ham United as potential suitors for Johnstone. The
28-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season. West Brom intend to
hold further talks over a new deal in January before making any final decision.
