Chelsea fans have woken up to disappointing news regarding the future of two of the club’s stars. The disgruntled players are keen on moves outside the Stamford Bridge and, although the team has a desirable depth, this could deal them a huge blow in their pursuit for Premier League glory.
Among the
dissatisfied players is Germany forward Timo Werner who has only started in
four league games this season. The 25-year-old former RB Leipzig man has
attracted the interest of Spanish giants Barcelona. The Spanish side are said
to be interested in a loan move for the Germany international during the
January transfer window, with new manager Xavi keen to rejuvenate the team.
Morocco winger
Hakim Ziyech is reportedly unhappy at Chelsea, having fallen out of favor with
manager Thomas Tuchel and now wants a move outside the Blues. The 28-year-old
has failed to replicate impressive form that compelled Chelsea to make a £33
million move for him from Ajax. He has only scored four goals in 49 appearances.
Ziyech is said
to prefer a move to Germany side Borussia Dortmund, just 18 months after
joining Chelsea. According to German media outlet BILD, Dortmund are looking
for a new winger to support striker Erling Braut Haaland having lost Jadon
Sancho to Manchester United. They prefer a move for Ziyech since Sancho’s
replacement, Donyell Malen, has failed to impress since his arrival from Dutch
side PSV Eindhoven
