Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, who suffered a knee injury last month, could be available for selection ahead of the trip to Leicester City.
The Blues will travel to the King Power Stadium on Saturday,
November 20 to face the Foxes (12:30pm kick-off) in the return of the Premier
League.
Lukaku, 28, picked up the injury in the
4-0 Champions League win over Malmo at Stamford Bridge.
The striker moved to West London in the summer transfer
window for a club record of £97.5million.
He has so far scored three goals in his seven appearances,
with the Blues sitting top of the Premier League.
After missing out on international duty
this week, he has, in a rather teasing manner, taken to social media to post a
cryptic update on his injury with the use of emojis.
The use of the running, clock and energy emojis hints at a
closer return.
Following Chelsea’s draw with Burnley last week, head coach
Thomas Tuchel claimed they would know more about his return after the
international break.
“To give you any date now, I would have to confirm. We also
have the national break now and we will be more clear after that,” Tuchel told
Football.London.
“We will use the time, of course, and see what is going on
in the second week of the national break.
“If you ask me the question then I can be more precise than
now. We have that break and we will use it. He will have treatment every day,
the same for Timo and Mateo, to bring them on the pitch as soon as possible.”
