Juventus and Chelsea battle for the top spot in the group 8n the ongoing UEFA Champions League as both teams face Malmo FF and Zenit respectively.
In the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday,
Chelsea will face Zenit St Petersburg. The Blues are one of the toughest teams
to beat in Europe this season. Here’s how Chelsea might beat Zenit even if they
don’t have all of their key players. Kante, Jorginho, Chilwell, Chalobah, and
Kovacic might not play for Chelsea.
Chelsea has done well in the Champions League
and the Premier League this season, albeit they did lose 3:2 to West Ham United
last weekend.
The following are the possible Chelsea starting
lineups for their match against Zenit St Petersburg.
Goalkeeper.
Instead of starting Mendy, Thomas Tuchel
Defenders.
A powerful back three is
expected. Sarr, Andres Christensen, and Azpilicueta are anticipated to start at
center back for Tuchel. This three can assist them in defeating Zenit St
Petersburg, while also giving Chelsea’s first-choice defenders some much-needed
rest.
Midfield.
Saul, Barkley, Marcos Alonso, and Callum Hudson-Odoi will create
a dangerous midfield partnership. Due to the absence of Kante, Kovacic, and
Jorginho, as well as the fact that Chelsea has already qualified, this midfield
should be able to stave off Zenit and at the very least get a point or a
victory tonight.
Attacking.
Because he is not fully fit, Lukaku is unlikely to start against
Zenit. Lukaku might make an appearance in the second half to help him improve his
match fitness.
Chelsea’s attacking line is anticipated to start Mason Mount, Timo Werner, and Christian Pulisic.
