CHELSEA fans do have some things to rejoice about as latest news from Stamford Bridge could mean so much for the followers of the club.
Blues fans do have something to be happy about
since the last couple of games, after they defeated Brentford with a convincing
2–0 victory in the Quarter finals of the Carabao cup, to progress to the semi
finals of the competition.
In recent games, the Chelsea’s poor form, and
covid-19 crisis that has affected most of their top players, has left the
Chelsea fans very unhappy, as they have lose grounds in the Premier League title
race to Manchester City, finding themselves six points behind the Guardiola’s
men just before Christmas, and also lost the top spot in their Champions League
group to Juventus in the last game week.
Chelsea would hope to rediscover their early
season good form as soon as possible, but despite their difficult times, there
are still some good news about the club that the fans would be delighted to
know.
In this article, we will be looking at the three good news that the
Chelsea fans would be happy about, at this current stage of the season.
1. Chelsea Are Still Competing
In Five Competitions So Far This Season
No other English club is participating in more competitions than
Chelsea this season, as they are currently still well placed for the Premier
League title, Champions League, Club World Cup, Carabao cup and the FA cup.
With Chelsea still active in five competitions at this stage of
the season, it means they have more chances of winning silverwares than their
Premier League rivals this season.
2. Hakim Ziyech Won’t Be Going
For The Afcon Tournament
It is great new for the Chelsea fans that Hakim Ziyech was not
included in the Moroccan squad that would participate in the Afcon tournament,
scheduled to hold in Cameron, from the 9 of January to 6 of February.
The
Chelsea attacker is not in good terms with his national team coach, which
has made him not to be called on International duty since June, and has now
been left out of the Moroccan squad for the Afcon tournament.
Hakim Ziyech exclusion from the Moroccan team is a good news to Chelsea, as Thomas Tuchel would need the squad depth he brings to the team.
3.
Romelu Lukaku, Callum Hudson-Odoi, And Andreas Christensen Are Back To Training
Chelsea has missed some of their first-team players due to injury and being affected by covid-19, which has led to their ugly form in recent games.
But the good news is that, Romelu Lukaku and Callum
Hudson-Odoi tested negative to covid-19, and are now back to training with the
squad, while Andreas Christensen has recovered from his back injury, and is
also back in training.
Thomas Tuchel would be glad to have them back to the squad, as
they prepare to play against the rejuvenated Aston Villa side in their next
Premier League game.
