Erling Haaland, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Robert Lewandoski, and Romelu Lukaku have all been targets of Thomas Tuchel as he wants to strengthen his attacking options and bring in an upgrade on Timo Werner.
Former Manchester United and Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku has always been on top of Tuchel’s transfer target list after having a great season in Italy.
Several reports had earlier
on stated that the Chelsea board will push hard for the signing of the star
player when the summer window opens.
However, Chelsea have been hit with a major blow as Romelu Lukaku doesn’t seem ready to leave the San Siro even after Antonio Conte resigned as their manager.
According to Daily Mail Sports news reports, Romelu Lukaku has
stated that he is ready to work with the new manager.
He was quoted saying: “I am
staying at Inter. I’ve already had contact with new manager Inzaghi. Maybe I
shouldn’t say that yet, but it was a very positive conversation. I feel good at
Inter.”
This is a major blow to the
Blues who hoped to get an upgrade on both Timo Werner, Olivier Giroud and Tammy
Abraham.
But in some of their reactions
to the news, Chelsea fans have told Thomas Tuchel that they don’t need him and
that Lukaku should better stay at Inter.
