Chelsea are having an excellent season under Thomas Tuchel, a good form which spans from January this year when the German tactician took over as the manager of the club, leading them to a cup final in the FA cup and also won the club’s second Champions League trophy last season.
They continued in that form this season, by winning their
first trophy of the campaign against Villarreal in the UEFA Super Cup finals,
and are in line to win more silverwares this season.
Since the Roman Abramovic bought
Chelsea in 2003, the club has placed a standard on all managers that has
coached the club to win trophies, and that has made them the most successful
English club since then.
Chelsea could be in for another trophy full season, by
winning another three trophies this season.
So in this article, we will be looking
at the three additional trophies that Chelsea could win this season, so as to
take their trophies won to four in this campaign.
1. The Premier League
After eleven games played in the Premier League this season,
Chelsea sit comfortably at the top of the league table, three point ahead of
Manchester City and West Ham United.
Chelsea haven’t won the Premier League title in the last five seasons, they last won it in 2017 under the management of Antonio Conte. Having won the Champions League last season, Thomas Tuchel would prioritize winning the league title this season.
The Thomas Tuchel’s side looks very strong this season, and are likely
to finish this season as the Champions of the league.
2. Carabao Cup
After two penalty wins against Aston Villa and Southampton in the third
and fourth round of the Carabao Cup, Chelsea are now through to the quarter
finals, which they would play against Brentford.
Manchester City who has dominated this
competition in the last five years were knocked out in the last round of the
competition against West Ham United, which means there would be a new winner
for the competition this season.
With Manchester City out of the competition, Chelsea has a
great chance of beating Brentford to qualify to the semi finals, and also go on
to the finals and win the competition this season.
3. World Club Cup
After winning the Champions League last season, Chelsea
would now participate in the continental competition that is set to hold in
January next year at the UAE.
This competition present another opportunity for Chelsea to
win another trophy this season, they would join the competition at the semi
finals stage, meaning they just have to play two games, if they qualify to the
